Yummy Treats
It has been a while since I wrote a blog and now that we have shifted over to a brand new platform, I thought, what a better way than to start with some yummy treats.
You may or may not know that we use, supply and sell doTERRA oils, so you just may find them lurking in the recipes, if you have them then use them, if you don’t just leave them out or grab some for yourself.
Lets start with choc dipped strawberries, yep yummy all on their own, the ones in the picture had a couple of drops of wild orange essential oil added to the melted lindt chocolate, they taste divine.
Super easy to make, melt your favourite chocolate, if you want to add oils then do that now, otherwise dip your strawberries and put them on a plate to harden. That is it. Super easy and super yummy.
Fabulous oils to use...
1 drop peppermint
2 drops wild orange
2 drops lemon
2 drops lavender
2 drops wild orange and 1 drop ginger
toothpick of cinnamon
1 drop fennel
Remember you are not limited to strawberries, try pretzels, nuts, other fruit, shortbread or marshmallows, you are only limited by your imagination.
Wild Orange Avocado Fudge Balls
So I borrowed the base recipe for this from my Mindfood magazine, then played around with it, and these are delish!
They certainly aren't hanging around very long here!
You will need....
120ml coconut cream
45ml maple syrup
2 avocados, just the flesh
115g dark chocolate, we used the 90% cocoa Lindt Chocolate
Place first 3 ingredients into a blender, blend till mixed.
Spread mixture into a container and freeze for about 3 hours.
Melt chocolate and add essential oils.
Scoop chilled mixture into ball shapes and dip into the melted chocolate, place on lined pan, return to freezer.
Next time I think I will freeze in the heart molds, will be super easy to just pop out and dip in the chocolate.
Chocolate and Raspberry Fudge
These really are amazing, we make a batch and throw them in a bag in the freezer, defrost as needed and for an indulging treat add some coconut ice cream...yummmm
Obviously you can use regular ice cream too !
Let's get into it...
for the chocolate...
6tbsp nut butter
3tbsp coconut oil
3 tbsp honey
3 tbsp cacao
1/2 tsp vanilla
pinch salt
4 drops your favourite citrus oil, like lemon, lime, green mandarin, tangerine, wild orange
for the blackberry....
1 cup cashew meal
2 tbsp coconut oil
2 tbsp honey
1/2 tsp vanilla
200g fresh or frozen blackberries
Place the chocolate ingredients into a processor and blend.
Pour into mini muffin cases, level and set aside.
Place the blackberry ingredients into the processor and blend till smooth.
Pour on top of chocolate mixture and freeze to set.
You can use any kind of berry for these!
